About The Phoenix Ensemble

Founded in 1998, The Phoenix Ensemble is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the highest quality musical experiences for people of all ages and levels, as performers and audience members. As a modular organization, we collaborate with artists in a variety of media to help them realize their visions. We have a history of putting on interesting and engaging events in and around Ann Arbor. Our flagship events are PhoenixPhest!, a chamber music festival held each May, and PhoenixPhest! Grande, a combined chamber music festival and Suzuki institute in August.

Shar Music Donation Program

Shar Music, a long-time supporter of The Phoenix Ensemble, is donating 5% of the total sales of ALL instrument and bow purchases, including student-level instruments. If you are considering buying an instrument or bow from Shar, first contact Danae Witter at danaew@sharmusic.com or 765-414-3794 and mention PhoenixPhest. She will set up an in-store appointment or help you with your online purchase so that we get the credit. She will also arrange for free shipping of trial instruments.
