May 25–27, 2018

PhoenixPhest! is a three-day chamber music festival held on the campus of Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI. The festival is designed to introduce students to and further their interest in chamber music, as well as teach essential life skills through the cooperative process of co-creating music. Throughout the festival, chamber groups receive coaching from Phest faculty. Participants may enter the program as a member of a preformed group with a preselected piece, or register as an individual and be carefully placed in a group by the director. Every group performs in the final concert. Students also participate in activities such as yoga, Score Study class, and choir. Read more »
